How do I control which resources are shared with the network?

How do I control which resources are shared with the network?

Managing your resource contributions gives you complete control over what computing power you share through NexQloud's decentralized cloud infrastructure. Our cloud management platform allows you to precisely configure which hardware components participate in the network while maintaining full security and performance for your local operations. This granular control is essential for hybrid cloud solutions where you need to balance contribution earnings with your own operational requirements.

To configure your shared resources:

  1. Access Resource Settings
    • Log into your NexQloud contributor dashboard
    • Navigate to "Resource Management" in the main menu
    • Select "Contribution Settings" from the sidebar
  2. Configure Hardware Allocation
    • CPU Cores: Set the number of cores to share (recommended: 50-80% of total capacity)
    • RAM Memory: Allocate memory for contribution (maintain [Information Needed] GB minimum for local operations)
    • Storage Space: Choose dedicated storage for network workloads
    • GPU Resources: Enable GPU sharing for edge AI platforms and AI edge inference workloads
    • Network Bandwidth: Set upload/download limits for edge computing solutions
  3. Set Resource Limits
    • Maximum concurrent workloads: [Information Needed - maximum number of simultaneous workloads per contributor]
    • Resource reservation for critical local tasks
    • Emergency resource reclaim settings
    • Workload type preferences (AI compute, serverless computing, standard VMs)
  4. Apply Security Controls
    • Enable resource isolation for multi-cloud security architecture
    • Configure access permissions for different workload types
    • Set up monitoring alerts for unusual resource usage

Important: Changes to resource allocation take effect within [Information Needed - time in minutes for resource allocation changes to take effect] and may temporarily affect your contribution earnings during the transition period.
