What happens if I need to temporarily stop contributing?
NexQloud's flexible contribution system allows you to temporarily pause your resource sharing without penalties or long-term commitment issues. Our platform recognizes that contributors may need to reclaim resources for maintenance, increased local demand, or business changes. The graceful shutdown process ensures minimal disruption to the decentralized cloud network while protecting your contributor reputation and future earning potential.
Temporary contribution pause process:
- Initiate Pause Request 
- Access "Resource Management" → "Contribution Controls"
 - Select "Temporary Pause" or "Maintenance Mode"
 - Choose pause duration: [Information Needed - minimum pause duration in hours] to [Information Needed - maximum pause duration in days]
 - Specify reason (maintenance, high local demand, testing, etc.)
 
 - Graceful Shutdown Sequence 
- Workload Migration: Running jobs are automatically migrated to other network nodes
 - New Job Prevention: Your resources stop accepting new workloads immediately
 - Completion Window: Existing tasks are allowed [Information Needed - task completion window in minutes] to complete
 - Clean Shutdown: Resources are safely disconnected from the network
 
 - During Pause Period 
- Zero Earnings: No contribution rewards during the pause period
 - Maintained Status: Your contributor account remains active and in good standing
 - Resource Monitoring: Local monitoring continues to track your hardware health
 - Quick Resume: Ability to resume contributions at any time during the pause
 
 - Impact on Your Account 
- Reliability Score: Short pauses ([Information Needed - duration in hours that qualifies as short pause]) have minimal impact
 - Extended Pauses: Longer interruptions may slightly affect future workload priority
 - Earnings Recovery: Normal earning rates resume immediately upon reactivation
 - Network Standing: Planned pauses are better for your reputation than unexpected disconnections
 
 
Resume Contribution Process:
- Click "Resume Contributions" in your dashboard
 - Confirm resource availability and configuration

 - Earnings resume with the next allocated workload
 
Best Practices: For planned maintenance, schedule pauses during historically low-demand periods to minimize earnings impact and maintain optimal network participation.
